About Us

Dognosis is a deep-tech health startup building next-gen biosensing systems - starting with dogs. Our flagship product, BreatheEasy, uses scent-detection hardware and real-time analytics to identify disease biomarkers non-invasively. We work at the intersection of biology, hardware, and software to turn breakthrough science into practical diagnostics. Backed by early clinical collaborations, we're a fast-moving team building the future of health tech.

Job Description

Dognosis is seeking someone to lead our Community and Design efforts to lead how our mission, science, and culture are expressed to the world. This role owns the company’s narrative and visual language end to end, spanning brand strategy, design systems, storytelling, and community-building across digital and physical touchpoints. The focus is not marketing campaigns, but long-term trust, clarity, and belief around a deeply unconventional but scientifically rigorous healthcare technology.
This role is suited for a design generalist who enjoys operating across domains and zooming between strategy and execution. You will be responsible for connecting dots across branding, design, storytelling, and community, and for holding the “whole” of how the company shows up in the world. You should be comfortable shaping direction where none exists, making judgment calls with incomplete information, and working closely with technical, clinical, and operational teams to translate complex work into narratives and experiences that feel coherent, human, and credible.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has strong experience across branding, design, and storytelling, with demonstrated ownership of narrative at a company or product level. You should be equally comfortable thinking strategically and executing directly, from defining brand principles and tone to producing or directing visual, video, and written work. Experience building or nurturing communities, rather than only audiences, is important.

You should be comfortable operating in ambiguity, working closely with technical and scientific teams, and translating complex ideas without diluting their integrity. A strong aesthetic sensibility, editorial judgment, and bias toward clarity and trust are essential. Prior experience in startups, deep tech, healthcare, science communication, or mission-driven organizations is preferred, though not required.
