Job Overview

Flux Marine Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting financial decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and internal policies.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
  • Coordinate audits, liaise with external auditors, and implement audit recommendations.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance department.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing training and development opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
  • [5+] years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives and financial systems implementation is a plus.
