The main job of a hardware engineer at Halo includes designing, developing, integrating, and testing the hardware components that make up the Halo technology stack. These include circuit boards, hardened computer systems, routers/modems, cameras, wire harnesses, and various sensors. A deep understanding of automotive systems (think tuner or gearhead) is required for this position. Finally, continuous improvement of the hardware stack through rigorous engineering processes will help us maintain our market leadership.REQUIREMENTS:- Electrical engineering background.- Critical thinking to identify the weaknesses and the strengths of conclusions.- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.- Capable of using hand tools for wiring, soldering, and light fabrication.- Comfortable running analysis of system requirements.- CAD design experience, SolidWorks preferred.- Conduct tests of hardware products to evaluate the performance.- Maintain the standards of the organization by maintaining high-quality work.- Motivated to “drive” to the end goal.- Good troubleshooting skills on computer software, computer hardware, wireless communication, and network devices.- Active learner and cooperative.- Supervisory and management skills.- Strong in making decisions.
