The Marketing Lead will own Motra’s marketing engine end-to-end: brand, growth, storytelling, community, and product marketing. This is not a maintenance role, it’s a chance to architect the marketing foundation of a category-defining fitness technology company.

You’ll develop the strategy, build the systems, and execute with intensity. You will help shape how millions of athletes experience Motra’s brand, understand its value, and adopt its technology. You’ll collaborate directly with the CEO, product, and design teams to bring Motra’s mission to life and scale it across platforms and markets.

This role is ideal for a builder: someone who thrives in ambiguity, executes with precision, and is energized by creating from zero-to-one.

What You’ll Do

Brand & Positioning

  • Build and own the marketing strategy that takes Motra from 100K to 10M WAUs, including positioning, channel strategy, and long-term brand architecture.
  • Scale acquisition through paid media, partnerships, and influencer/ambassador programs, with clear experimentation loops and performance tracking.
  • Lead viral and social-first growth initiatives that accelerate awareness and user adoption.
  • Evolve Motra’s messaging and identity through the rebrand, ensuring the story is clear, compelling, and culturally resonant.
  • Set up measurement systems, define KPIs, and make data-driven decisions that keep the brand and growth engines aligned.

Growth & Acquisition

  • Lead user acquisition across paid, organic, and community-driven channels.
  • Build scalable marketing funnels from awareness → activation → retention.
  • Identify and test new distribution channels to drive efficient growth.

Content & Social

  • Own Motra’s content strategy: video, social, educational, and campaign-level storytelling.
  • Produce or oversee high-quality content that resonates with lifters and fitness communities.
  • Manage social presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

Community & Partnerships

  • Develop and manage influencer, athlete, and creator relationships.
  • Build ambassador programs and community-driven growth loops.
  • Activate partnerships with gyms, trainers, and fitness organizations.

Product Marketing

  • Translate product features into compelling narratives that drive adoption.
  • Partner closely with product and design to shape in-app messaging, onboarding, and lifecycle communication.
  • Launch new features with coordinated go-to-market campaigns.

Leadership & Execution

  • Build and lead a small, high-performing marketing team over time.
  • Establish foundational marketing processes, systems, and performance metrics.
  • Execute quickly, iterate constantly, and operate with ownership.

Who You Are

  • A marketing athlete - someone who can think strategically, execute creatively, and dive into the details.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in growth, brand, or full-stack marketing roles (startup experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to build and scale marketing programs from scratch.
  • Deep understanding of social media, content creation, and digital acquisition.
  • Strong storytelling abilities - you can translate technology into emotion, movement, and cultural relevance.
  • Passionate about fitness, strength training, or human performance.
  • A builder’s mindset: scrappy, resourceful, experimental.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-intensity environments.
  • Obsessed with craftsmanship and brand excellence.
