Hi 👋 - we’re Train Fitness. We believe in a future where humans interact with technology through body movement - not a touchscreen. We’ve raised $5M+, backed by top investors in the technology and fitness space, and are driven relentlessly by our mission to bridge the gap between the digital and physical world.

Our product is Train Fitness, an iOS application which can track 470+ unique exercise types, count reps, and provide detailed movement stats, 100% based on the motion of a user’s Apple Watch. To date Train Fitness has logged 4M + workouts, and growth is not slowing down.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and launch a completely new brand for the company
  • Design world-class visuals across mobile, web, and social
  • Create polished UI flows for current and upcoming features
  • Build a brand identity that rivals the most iconic companies in fitness and tech
  • Develop cutting-edge, original design concepts—not templates
  • Collaborate closely with other designers and the full engineering team
  • Drive design vision from concept to prototypes to shipped product; often all within a week

Requirements:

  • Experience in the health & fitness space is a strong asset. A solid understanding of weightlifting and gym culture is important because our product is built by lifters, for lifters—your work must reflect authenticity and a deep understanding of the user.
  • 5+ years of experience at a design-forward, industry-leading company or a high-growth startup
  • Extensive experience with design systems—building, scaling, and maintaining them
  • Expertise in graphic design, typography, and visual storytelling
  • Experience designing high-quality iOS product UI (Figma mastery required)
  • Ability to work across brand, product, and marketing design
  • Motion design and animation experience is an asset
  • Video editing or production experience is an asset
  • Strong understanding of product thinking, UX fundamentals, and end-to-end customer journeys
  • A portfolio demonstrating originality, taste, and high craftsmanship
